GOWYGEAR
est. 2011
Brian, owner of GowyGear, conceptualizes and creates custom lapel pins focused around Phish. He became interested in designing custom pins after experiencing SuperBall IX with Pin Me Down Designs and soon after created his first two pins, A Song I Heard The Ocean Sing and Possum, which were publicly released on August 5, 2011 at the Gorge Ampitheater in George, Washington. During 2011, he continued developing GowyGear by collaborating with a friend and progressing through the trade with the assistance of Pin Me Down Designs.
After consulting with Ant Pharms and Fred Hosman in 2012, GowyGear began to solely manage the cradle-to-grave pin design process. Once the ticket series was established, GowyGear approached Ryan Kerrigan with a collaboration opportunity which resulted in numerous 2013 ticket designs. This collaboration sparked an interest in art which has led to the classroom. Brian has gone back to the basics by enrolling in art classes in an effort to continually improve his designs. Additional designs in 2013 led to a collaboration pin with Mark Serlo to commemorate a mid-October run in Hampton, Virginia. The future of GowyGear is limitless. In addition to pins and magnets, watch out for poster and canvas designs. The goal is to keep on truckin' as far as the road leads.
